The recording of the MASTER CLASS FOR AIRLINES & AIRPORTS: RunwaySense - Using Aircraft as a Sensor - 3 years of in-service experience can be found HERE
This session will be the opportunity to learn more about RunwaySense, the service introduced by NAVBLUE in 2019 to enhance the runway condition awareness.
Accurately reporting the runway condition in a way that it ensures valid landing performance computations has long been recognized as a great challenge.
By using the aircraft as a sensor, Airbus and Navblue propose a way to enhance the runway condition awareness by sharing objective information about the runway condition which is relevant with the aircraft braking performance.
During this session, the Airbus on-board system BACF (Braking Action Computation Function) and the associated web service RunwaySense is presented. In-service experience is also shared through practical use cases.
The audience of this class is meant for Pilots, Flight Ops Engineers or an Airport Operators.
It was held in October 2022.
